Impressions from Bernstein and Graz BCI Conferences

In this September our group members visited two conferences and got quite a boost in terms of new ideas, topics for discussion and possible research directions.

The Bernstein Conference in Göttingen was a good example of a conference on computational neuroscience: models, neural networks, information theory, etc. Ardi Tampuu presented a poster “A detailed thalamocortical model for studying figure-ground segregation” and Krisjan Korjus shared the result of his work “Predicting personality from the resting state EEG”. If you would like to know more you are welcome to read my notes about this event.

The Graz BCI Conference showed what are current directions in the field of BCI and helped me to shape a plan for future steps in my PhD studies. More notes and some pictures on my web page.
